Above is a still from a video for a proposal for grassroots development in the Ger District of Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. Without waiting for assistance from the bankrupted Mongolian government to build much needed neighborhood communal spaces, inhabitants can use a few new components to expand their Gers to create a low cost indoor space for the activities they need and want.

This animation walks through an architectural proposal for a reconfigurable criminal courtroom that allows for multiple juridical processes to take place simultaneously, and or consecutively, in order to redirect more detainees to services rather than incarcerate the ones who cannot pay bail. This proposal was designed in Spring of 2016 as part of the #CLOSErikers Advanced Architectural Design Studio at Columbia GSAPP, led by Laura Kurgan.
